Intensely pigmented bright ruby red. Broad, well-rounded petals are lightly waved; small stamen cluster is light yellow. Flowers are set close to the bush, a large terminal flower, 3-4 side buds extend the flowering season. Colorful throughout the spring, expanding shoots are deep purple; heavy leaflets are dark green at flowering.
