The single, large size flower opens fiery red with a bright yellow center. Two rows of well-rounded, cupped petals form a bowl that holds a tide cluster of yellow stamens and a set of pale green carpels in the center. It is an attractive flower with excellent form and good substance. The bush has an excellent plant habit. It is vigorous, the increase is above average and will grow a good size clump within a few years of planting. It is a dependable bloomer, covering a compact, semi-dwarf bush with a riot of color. A long and wiry stem bares one flower and an occasional side bud close to the foliage for a pleasing presentation. The erect, self-supporting stem is well covered in foliage, the semi-glossy, dark green leaflets are nearly oval, and ends are pointed. The bush holds its shape well against inclement weather and staking is not required under normal growing conditions. This variety is an excellent choice for the sunny perennial border.
