Best Landscaper® 'Summer Glow'
Origin.: (Hollingsworth, 1992)
Group: Herbaceous Hybrid
Bloom period: Midseason
Bloom week: 4 & 5
Flower form: Double
Height: Medium
USDA Zone: 3 to 7
Item number: 0685

Details:

Full double, very large flower, opens peach color infused with yellow shades. The yellow pigments are more dense towards the center with the color passing to cream as the flower matures. Large petals, grade smaller inward, the flower tightly stuffed with petals, segments cupped and wavy, nicely arranged, makes a well-tailored, sumptuous bloom of heavy substance, exhibition quality. Good plant habit, good vigor but very slow to increase, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a stout, medium height bush. Strong stems, very erect and sturdy well covered in heavy, dark green foliage. Stem carries flower near the foliage canopy, the form of the bush holds well against rough weather, staking depends on placement in the landscape and if found necessary only to prevent stems from breaking off. Due to the very low rate of increase it will take extra time to form a large bush, but eventually it will make an excellent presentation in the landscape and furnish fine stems for the vase. Much admired for its unusual color.
