Best Landscaper® 'Gay Paree'
Originator: (Auten, 1933)
Group: Lactiflora
Bloom period: Midseason
Bloom week: 4
Flower form: Anemone
Height: Medium
USDA Zone: 2 to 8
Item number: 3428

Details:

The fragrant, anemone form, medium size flower opens deep cerise pink, the center is white when fully mature. Broad guard petals surround a cluster of petalodes. Upon opening the segments are of a creamy color which is accentuated by bright rose-pink shades. The pigments are more brilliant in cool spring climate. While the flower is rather small, each stem bears multiple buds. It is a reliable bloomer with profuse color on a substantial bush. The long stem is self-supporting and carries the flowers well above the foliage. Staking is typically not required if grown well and in full sun. The semi-glossy foliage is medium green and remains attractive for most of the growing season. It is an excellent cultivar for the perennial border and cut flower garden. APS Gold Medal Winner for 2023!
